Aeration Basin Conversion & Improvements Project - Detroit Wastewater Treatment Plant

To improve the reliability of the Aeration System at Detroit Wastewater Treatment Plant, DWP had recommended for extensive rehabilitation of all Four (4) Aeration Basins. The improvements include:
• Conversion of Aeration Basin No. 1 to a
high purity oxygen process.
• Replacement of existing hollow shaft mixers
with high efficiency mixers at Basins 2, 3
& 4.
• Structural rehabilitation of all Basins.
• Complete rehabilitation of Electrical Power
Distribution System for all Four (4) Basins.
• Construction of Two (2) new Electrical
Rooms for Basins 1 & 2.
• Rehabilitation of I&C Systems for all Four
(4) Basins including upgrade of Oxygen Vent
Control System.
• Improvements to the Electrical Lighting
System.
