METCO Services Inc. is responsible for providing Professional Surveying Services to support the Survey Operation of the City Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works.
METCO’s responsibilities include the following:
• Prepare legal descriptions for land
acquisition, street/alley vacation and ROW
acquisition for neighborhood development,
industrial and commercial projects for use
by various City Departments.
• Prepare Resolution Packages for street and
alley vacation and ROW acquisition for
approval of City of Detroit Council.
• Check and certify legal descriptions
prepared internally by City of Detroit
Engineering department.
• Provide miscellaneous surveying services as
needed by City Engineering Department.
