METCO was responsible to confer with appraisers, title companies, attorneys, tax assessors and city departments as required to perform the following task:
• Identify private landowner conveyances
needed by the City to establish the
Dequindre (railroad) Corridor create a
transfer parcel for a proposed new public
street right-of-way (major thoroughfare).
• Established Right-of-Way locations for 22
blocks.
• Preparation of ALTA Surveys for each block
(22) within the project limits.
• Prepared legal descriptions and various
exhibits to identify the acquisition of
each parcel.
METCO was also responsible for providing topographic as well as an extensive sub-surface utility survey for about 114 acres located between Jefferson Avenue and the Detroit River.
