Pump Station No. 1 Rehabilitation - Detroit Wastewater Treatment Plant

DWP had recommended the upgrading of the existing Pump Station No. 1 to enhance its capacity to handle the ultimate flow of 1700 MGD Raw Sewage at a total construction cost of approximately $22.0 Million.
The major items of improvements include the following:
• Rehabilitation of Influent Pumping Units.
• Replacement of Electrical System associated
with the Pumping Units.
• Rehabilitation of Rack and Grit Removal and
Handling System.
• Construction of new Screening Off-Load
Facility.
• Upgrading of Electrical Distribution System
at Pump Station and Rack and Grit Building.
• Upgrading of Lighting System at Pump
Station and Rack and Grit Building.
• Process Instrumentation and Control System
for Pump, Rack and Grit Removal and
Conveyance System and Screening Off-Load
