METCO's Relevent Experience: |
Study and Design of:
• Performing field verification and condition
survey of all electrical distribution
equipment (both medium voltage and low
voltage) including switchgears,
substations, Motor Control Centers and
Power Panel Boards
• Gather and review of all connected loads in
the existing distribution network spread
over thirty-five (35) electrical buildings
and forty (40) double ended substations
• Gather and review of the relay settings,
and fuse sizing in the existing protective
devices
• Coordinate with DWSD and performed
power monitoring at all load centers
including main bus and all secondary
substations. The data collected includes
minimum/maximum power current, voltage,
power factor and TDH (where applicable).
• Assist in the performance of capacity
analysis of all substations and system wide
Short Circuit/Coordination Study.
• Assist in formulation of the study findings
and recommendations.

Electrical Power System Study - Detroit Wastewater Treatment Plant
|
 |
This project was conceived to meet the requirements for a comprehensive investigation and field verification of the existing Electrical Distribution System of City of Detroit Waste Water Treatment Plant.
The scope of the project is intended to prepare a field verified one-line schematic of the existing electrical system demand analysis, develop the coordinated trip settings for all electrical distribution equipment and analyze the short circuit rating of the electrical components.
METCO was hired as sub-consultant to Black & Veatch to perform field verification of all electrical equipment installation, electrical rating, existing trip setting and data logging of maximum/minimum, power demand, voltage and current values at medium voltage and 480V rated substation.
