Subsequent to statewide power outage in August of 2003, DWSD has decided to install Emergency Generator System at their four (4) additional facilities to insure adequate water supply to all their customers during emergency situations.
The Design-Build project DWS-837A is intended to accomplish the above objective. The scope and major elements of this D/B Project include:
• Furnish and install diesel generator system
consisting of 2-MW Generators at Water Work
WTP, Northeast WTP, Franklin Pumping
Station and Clintondale Sewage Pumping
Station.
• Interface the new generator system
with ‘Ovation’ System for remote operation
and monitoring of the generators.
