Critical Improvement Projects - City of Warren Wastewater Treatment Plant

City of Warren identified key improvements to their dewatering, sludge handling and incineration system to be designed and constructed under their Short-Term Capital Improvements projects.
METCO was retained to develop a suitable conceptual design reflecting the intent of City of Warren to develop detailed design and contract documents and provide construction administration services including resident engineering services to insure timely implementation.
The major projects identified under their Capital Improvement Program include:
• Rehabilitation of the existing two (2) Belt
Filter Presses
• Install One (1) new Gravity Belt Thickener
• Install new Ceramic Disc Fine Bubbler
System for Three (3) Aeration Tanks
• Refurbish the Incinerator System including:
o Replace refractories
o Replace the feeder system
o Modify central shaft drive
o Provide new scrubber trays
o Miscellaneous Improvements
• Major Incinerator Improvements include:
o New I.D. Fan
o New Combustion Air Blowers
o New Burner Trains for Seven (7)
Hearths and new Gas Main
o New Main Incinerator Control Panel
o New Ash Grinder System
• New 8,000 sft Maintenance Building
• Replace roof for Eight (8) buildings
• Removal and abatement of Asbestos at
various facilities
