      Control Center to include five (5) more  
      Water Booster Stations
Design-Build of Improvements to North Service Center Water Booster Station
DWSD proposed to upgrade the pumping capacity of their North Service Center Booster Station in order to maintain adequate water pressure to north suburban communities during peak summer months.  North Service Center is one of the major and critical pumping stations in the DWSD water distribution system and is designed to feed water to all north suburban communities.

METCO was retained to (a) procure, install, start-up and testing of the following systems under a “Design-Build” project delivery approach.

   •  Four (4) 30 MGD 2,500 HP Pumps
   •  Four (4) Medium Voltage (4800V) Variable
      Frequency Drives
   •  One (1) 10MVA Power Transformer
   •  60-inch and 42-inch Header Modification
   •  All associated 24-inch Gate Valves,
      Butterfly Valves, and Cone Valves
   •  Complete PLC-based SCADA System for local
      and remote control of the pumps

The complete four (4) pumping system has been operational satisfactory on remote-mode from System Control Center via SCADA System since 1997.
