METCO Services Inc. was responsible for establishing all boundaries for Rail and City held properties lying between the U.S-Canada International Boundary and Railroad mile post 2.02 (about 250’ west of 22nd Street) covering approximately 2.5 miles and totaling about 25 acres, upon completion of the initial boundary survey, METCO Services prepared the documents necessary to complete the land transfers between the City of Detroit, Conrail and DRTP respectively.
METCO Services Inc. also prepared ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys for an additional 30 privately owned properties for planned acquisition by DRTP.
Since the preservation of public utility rights and interests within the project site was of the utmost importance, METCO Services Inc. performed all field and office research necessary in order to provide precise easement descriptions and exhibits for the various utility providers.
