Design-Build Contract for Haggerty Pump Station

To insure reliable water supply to the North West Communities of Oakland County, DWSD had proposed to construct a new Water Pumping Station with a firm capacity of 70 MGD and a 10 MGD Reservoir at a total construction cost of $35.0 Million.
The major elements of this Design Build project includes:
• Approximately 12,000 sft of Pumping Station
with Three (3) Line Pumps and Two (2)
Reservoir Pumps
• 10 Million Gallon above ground precast
concrete reservoir
• Three (3) 800 HP, Medium Voltage Pulse
Width Modulated Variable Frequency Drives
• 3,000 Lft of 16-inch water main
• Complete ‘Ovation’ based Control System for
remote/local monitoring of the Pump Station
METCO was retained as ‘Oversight Consultant’ to (a) prepare proposal documents for ‘Design-Build’ of this Project; and (b) provide Oversight Consulting Services during construction.
