Belt Filter Press Replacement Dewatering Complex I & II Detroit WWTP

To address the deficiencies in the existing solids handling process and to mitigate the potential permit non-compliance on the solids inventory level, DWSD has decided to enhance the capacity and reliability of their solids handling system by replacing the existing twenty-two (22) Belt Filter Presses in Dewatering Complex I & II. METCO, as one of the major Design Subconsultants, was assigned with the responsibility in study and design of all Electrical, Structural, Architectural, HVAC and Plumbing System Improvements required to support the new Belt Filter Presses. The services provided by METCO under this project include: - Upgrade of Electrical Power Distribution System. - Upgrade of Ventilation System for both Complex I & II facilities. - Reconfiguration of Structural Support. - Reconfiguration of Drainage and Plumbing System - Upgrade of Sludge Conveyance System - Design of new Control Room
